Mechanical Design Lead Engineer - ADAS Sensing

The ADAS AD team is currently seeking a Mechanical Lead Design Engineer in thearea of ADAS Sensing. The position requires an experienced professional with atrack record of successfully bringing innovative automotive ADAS/AD productsinto production.

Your Role:
• Design robust module mounts which support repeatable and accurate performanceof exterior/interior ADAS sensors
• Contribute with strong knowledge in designing kinematic mechanisms and shockand vibration stabilization structures.
• Design and execute comprehensive tolerance stack-up analyses at bothcomponent and system levels to ensure proper fit, function, and manufacturingfeasibility of ADAS sensor assemblies
• Lead optical performance simulations using SPEOS software to validate ADASsensor system performance across various environmental and operating conditions
• Drive and oversee thermal and structural simulations & Validation at themodule level to ensure robust mechanical design and optimal sensor performanceunder diverse operating conditions
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups including exterior surface design,interior cabin design, design studio, structural simulation group, ADAS groupand module suppliers to optimize packaging space and fulfilling bothmanufacturing serviceability requirements.
• Work with Tier 1 suppliers and understand mechanical system implementation.

Qualifications:
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software CATIA
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience with ASME GD&T, tolerance stack up, and detailed 2D drawings
• Plastic and injection molding experience
• Experience with CAE tools (for example ANSYS)
• Knowledge of Thermal , Shock, and Vibration testing
• Knowledge of rapid prototyping
• Expertise in ADAS mechanical component design
• Track record of creative mechanical design that will fit within a tight space

• Knowledge of vehicle build and electrical harnessing

Education:
• Bachelor's of Science (Master's preferred), Mechanical Engineering or relatedengineering field

Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on deliverables.
